In an unprecedented show of unity, more than 150,000 health professionals and workers and tens of thousands of patient advocates will wear a sticker that says \u201cStop Health Privatization\u201d and will distribute leaflets warning about the Ford government\u2019s radical health care restructuring plans. The Ford government has given itself unprecedented powers to order the privatization of virtually all health care services and leaked documents show that plans are underway to begin privatization of a range of health care services. It voted down amendments that would have protected local hospitals from closure and stopped privatization of health care services. The list of cuts, privatization plans, restructuring, centralization and mergers in health care is growing at an alarming rate. Health care staff, patients and advocates are building a major fightback.<\/p>\n<p>The Health Coalition is mobilizing for a massive Health Care rally outside the Ontario Legislature next week on Tuesday, April 30 at noon.
