Advocates for Ontario’s long-term care residents say Premier Doug Ford and his government should have known which long-term care homes would be most at risk in a pandemic based on years of inspection reports, risk modelling and bed classifications.

In an interview Friday, NDP health critic France Gélinas said she believed that most of the LTC home hard-hit by COVID-19 should have been identified as high-risk before the pandemic based on their age and inspection records. She repeated her party’s call for the resignation of Long-Term Care Minister Dr. Merrillee Fullerton.
