Cuts to Ontario birthing services ripped

TORONTO – Women are increasingly being forced to travel farther to have their babies as hospital birthing services are cut or shut down completely, the Ontario Health Coalition (OHC) warns.

The OHC brought a group of women, including expectant mothers, to Queen’s Park Thursday to highlight the possible loss of obstetrical services in the Leamington Hospital, which would force them to journey more than an hour away by car to Windsor.
