Barry’s Bay and Bancroft residents will get to see a 10-foot tall wooden rocking chair today.

The chair will make an appearance to raise awareness to the need for improved care for long-term care facilities in Ontario.

The Ontario Health Coalition says it will be collecting 20,000 signatures on postcards during the event to represent about 20,000 people waiting for long-term care placements.

The chair will be seen at Opeongo Line and Mintha Street in Barry’s Bay at 10:00am, and Monck Street and Manor Lane in Bancroft at 2:00pm.
