‘Save the NOTL Hospital Group’ looks for support

NIAGARA-ON-THE-LAKE — A group of concerned residents from Niagara-on-the-Lake and beyond made their case for keeping the town’s cottage hospital open during a town hall meeting Saturday.
The “Save the Niagara-on-the-Lake Hospital Group” hosted the event, held at the Community Centre, with about 70 people in attendance. Speaking before the crowd, local organizer Sandra O’Connor said they may be entering the fight a little late but she still thinks there’s time to keep the Niagara Health System from removing beds from the Niagara-on-the-Lake hospital site on Wellington Street. Keeping the beds open, she told the crowd, is crucial.
